[Open] Though she looks as warm as gold...
Who: Elraine & anyone
Where: Edge of Märchen, close to the north gate
When: Night of the 17th, Full Moon
What: Elle feels like dancing for no reason, but it might be the moon that's affecting her.
Warnings: None at the moment.
Status: Open
[Surprisingly, it was way too easy sneaking out of Kiri's house in the middle of the night. After waking up suddenly, a quick trip to the kitchen ends with her catching the full moon just peaking out from behind a cloud. The view outside her window captures her, and a sudden giddiness bubbles up in her chest. Even though she's so hungry, Elle wants to sing and dance to let out this sudden sense of excitement. She can't hold it in any longer, nor does she seem to care why this is happening. Grabbing her cloak, she's out the door, and her performance is held once she finds a vacant, open space in sight of the gate.
Swirling, twirling, there is no rhyme or reason to her steps. It's all about releasing everything pent up in her, but if anyone were watching, she practically looks like she's gone mad. But Elle couldn't care. The townsfolk already seemed to have their opinions established beforehand, much like the onlookers she passed by back in her world. So she's not going to let anything bother her now, especially since the moon has emerged and is shining down on her.
But she's certainly going to need to grab a snack after she's done.]

It doesn't take him long to find her in the nearby plaza. He stands aside and watches with a small, confused frown on his face for a moment before walking toward her. All this time he has danced with her, and he hasn't experienced her move like this. This doesn't feel like any dance they'd learned together. For all the madness, Kiri can't help but find it oddly entrancing in the moonlight. Clearly something is wrong, despite the nonsensical elegance.]
Elle?
[Kiri calls for her from a dozen or so strides away. Even as strange as this is, she looks so happy... He hopes she'll explain before he has to ask.]
no subject
I feel so happy, I don't know why! [Yup, there's your explanation, plus the fact that she begins to bounce at the tips of her feet.] But I'm glad you're here.
[Which doesn't make much sense considering she was trying to avoid people AND sneaked out of the house. But holding Kiri now, even in her overexcited state, easily brings to mind how he hugged after reuniting. The bloody nose, doesn't he smell good. The thoughts don't quite connect for her, but she physically seems more energized and ready to topple him over. Her arms squeeze a neck a little harder, but Elle is completely unaware of it.]

Then that choking feeling settles in. She couldn't -... would she? Kiri is confused, to say the least, painfully confused. A hand is gently placed at her waist and the other cautiously to her forearm, while he lets his eyes speak Elle. Are you okay? Are you hurt? What's gotten into you? Please stop. -- banking on what connection they have to calm her down. The boy stifles a wince. For extra measure, he ekes out a few words]
E-Elle... What're you doin'?
[Not as steadfast as he was hoping -... but, at least it got out. Kiri holds his ground decently enough.
Were this almost any other situation, Kiri would not mind her toppling him over.]no subject
I-I'm just...Ah, you did it first! [The hugging that is.] How was I supposed to know you--?!
[A loud rumble cuts her off as her stomach demands food. The pang of hunger this time is much stronger than the last, causing her to wrap her arms around her waste when her forehead lands against his shoulder.]
Urgh, I'm so hungry... [Whiiiiine.]
no subject
Why didn't y'say so? C'mon, I'll make you something at home.
[It's an attempt to hit two birds with one stone. Kiri places a hand to her shoulder for extra measure -- he would have preferred her hand, but hopefully this will do.]
no subject
The butcher's wouldn't be open at this time, would it?
no subject
Nah... [Think, think, think. Doing something with the chicken that's marinating would take too long. There are a few cold cuts of ham -... hopefully? Kiri takes Elle's hand and starts back toward home, anyways, and hopes to figure it out on the way.] We've got somethin' at home.
[There is a small stable housing a two oxen and a handful of horses nearby this plaza, conveniently on the way home. But, it's not like Elle is so hungry she'll attack them, right?]
no subject
Then she's off, sprinting over to the stable, hurdling over one of the gates to join the ox in its pen. It initially makes a startled noise, but Elle smooths a hand over its back to calm it.]
no subject
Shit.
[ - is the most eloquent hiss Kiri can muster between reminding himself not to yell after her, and general shock at her running away. The blood on his hand is forgotten as he strains to catch up to her -- a good lot of his muscles still haven't recovered from degradation at overusing magic, and Elle is fast. It was definitely far, far too soon to even begin of thinking of celebrating. Elle has little under twelve seconds before Kiri skids into the stables, and whisper-yells her name.]
Elle!
[His tone is not severe... Just concerned and worried and completely forgetting about his bloodied palm.]
no subject
As quick as a flash, Elle pulls back her arm to take aim and cleanly pierces the ox's flesh with little remorse. Wrist deep, blood begins to leak from the wound as she continues to feel around for her prize. The stable is oddly silent except for the horrible squelching noise to accompany Elle's search.
Her hand is covered in blood and bits of tissue, but the most important part is the liver that's in her grasp. There's no second thought to scarfing it down, and her newly formed, sharp teeth rip into the organ.]

Just hold out a hand. Just take a step forward. Say something. Do something. But, he can't for more time than Kiri would ever care to admit. Not from anger, or disgust, or fear of her. Because he is terrified for her, for himself, for both of them. For too long, Kiri stands there terrified. Say anything, boy. Elle -... what happened? Are you hurt? This isn't "hungry". This isn't -... this isn't -... Oh god, Elle. Look at me. Say something. Please. Take my hand. We need to leave. I'm here, Elle. Everything's gonna be okay. I'll protect you. Just come here. Take my hand.Let's go home. But, all he manages is: ]
E-Elle...
[Her name blunders out of his mouth clumsily for all its muted concern. Kiri wanted it to be strong and hearty... At least there is still concern and confidence in his cautiously quiet voice. Elle is nearly done with her meal by the time Kiri is able to speak, and carefully set foot onto the growing red puddle, with an open hand outstretched to her (thankfully, by sheer luck, not the injured left hand he'd forgotten about).]
