[open] I foolishly walked with you once upon a foolish dream
Who: Franziska von Karma and you poor unfortunate souls
Where: a cottage in the forest
When: 30th of December
What: warm tea, investigation notes, thorny plants and sleeping spells.
Warnings: Remember what happened to Sleeping Beauty? Try not to prick your finger on anything. While Franziska is immune to her own magic, it might not be the same for your characters.
Status: Open
A cottage stands in the middle of the forest. Unlike the hardwood cottages of the city, this particular one seems to be made of intertwined vines, with a random thorn sticking out here and there. The inside is more comfortable, with a soft bed on one corner, a small office space, a warm fire burning in the fireplace, an open box of sewing equipment and a pot of freshly brewed tea on an upside-down cauldron with a tablecloth on top. It is currently empty.
How did your character get here? Perhaps they were lured here by the warm scent of rose tea. Or perhaps they decided to investigate the whereabouts of an animal companion who has fallen asleep next to a suspicious-looking bramble bush, never to wake until it receives an act of true love. Or maybe it's because the heroes always find their way to the evil fairy's abode in tales such as these.
The door and the windows are open. Anyone brave enough to enter would find a makeshift corkboard of tree bark and thorns for pushpins. The notes contained information such as:
Mind the vines that are slithering about and be careful of anything with a sharp, pointy tip. The master of the house will be with you shortly. Franziska just stepped outside to patrol the area for sleeping trespassers.

Märchenstraße - fairy tale street. German. The word "magic" is struck out multiple times. One sheet that says "contact INTERPOL" is left crumpled on the floor, unpinned.
Architecture - German. Fairy tale themed like the rest of this foolish place.
Location - not Germany.
Time period - nowhere near March 2019
townspeople - deluded, uncooperative, foolish fools
fellow captives - claim to be from "different worlds". possibly deluded. possibly paid actors. varying degrees of foolishness.
no communication lines other than through text-based blank books and quills provided by the citizens (possibly advanced tablets and stylus)Magic?
Mind the vines that are slithering about and be careful of anything with a sharp, pointy tip. The master of the house will be with you shortly. Franziska just stepped outside to patrol the area for sleeping trespassers.

Investigate, but not go inside just yet. The cottage seems to be made of vines which is suspicious in itself - most likely there is magic at work here. Mogget approaches the entrance in cat form and stops there, sniffing the air. Is there someone inside?
no subject
"Scat, cat. There's nothing for you inside."
no subject
"I didn't imagine there would be." He glances back at the entrance. "A warm fire, however, is not something to pass up in this climate. Is this your house?"
He's being generous with the word "house", to be frank. But it is shelter.
no subject
"No, it's not. But I found it, it seems to obey me and it's a bountiful provider of sleeping trespassers." It's not her house. She is not it's master. But it is convenient.
"I suppose you're also here to mooch off a bowl of milk?"
