Die Rübe Fluch
Who: Starscream and whoever wants to bother him.
Where: Here and there in Märchen.
When: Morning, January 10th.
What: Starscream has discovered that his lantern MacGuffin is rather clingy, and is reacting over-dramatically about it.
Warnings: Attempted herbicide. Also, depending on how things go, Starscream might violently lash out at others.
Status: OPEN.
Towards the end of the previous day, Starscream had found himself feeling very tired. True, he hadn't done much beyond wander around and bicker with people, but his bizarre situation had left him feeling drained mentally, if not physically. Fortunately there were plenty of empty cottages around Märchen, and it had been a simple matter to break into one and curl up on the floor. His last thought, before he fell asleep, was the hope that maybe this was all just some peculiar dream.
Starscream awoke disappointed to see this was not the case, followed by the realization that he had something warm nestled in his arms. With more than a little trepidation about it, Starscream looked down. And what he saw was the same turnip lantern that he'd been seeing everywhere the previous day, grinning up at him as if it knew it was driving him out of his mind.
"Go away!" he screamed, and he threw it at the wall. The turnip lantern hit it with a thunk and rolled underneath the bed.
"I don't want you around, can't anyone understand that?" Starscream hastily climbed to his feet, and was out the door before the turnip lantern could hop after him, or however it was doing it.
Unfortunately, running away proved to be an inefficient tactic. When Starscream was in the marketplace, he would spot the turnip lantern nestled among a display full of them. If he was in the park, the turnip lantern would be lounging on one of the benches. If he was just running down the street, the turnip lantern would be watching him from atop a fence. Eventually Starscream gave up on the tactic when he saw it sliding across a patch of ice towards him.
"Fine," he snapped, snatching it from the ground. "This means war."
So if you're wandering around Märchen today, you may see Starscream trying very hard to get rid of a turnip. Perhaps you get to see him drop-kick it down the street, or throwing it off the top of a building, or trying to toss it in a well.
Despite being entirely on the defensive, the turnip seems to be winning this round.
